Why we invested
Glenside operates in a specialised and increasingly important sector of the healthcare industry. The company offers a unique care pathway for people with an acquired brain injury, providing rehabilitation and support to help them return to the most independent lifestyle possible. This was an opportunity to support the company’s roll-out strategy in the South of England.
The result
During Bowmark’s period of investment, Glenside expanded the scale and scope of its services, including opening a new specialist 22-bed care home in Farnborough and redeveloping its main site in Salisbury, which improved the quality of the facilities and enlarged its capacity. Glenside further enhanced its reputation as a high-quality provider of specialist care, achieving a “good with outstanding features” rating from the Care Quality Commission in 2016.
In 2017, Glenside was sold to Raphael Medical Centre for an undisclosed sum.
