Why we invested

Las Iguanas has a differentiated offering in the casual dining market. This was an opportunity to support an experienced management team, building on our track record in the leisure sector, where we have backed a number of successful roll-outs in the past.

The result

Las Iguanas delivered strong growth during the eight years of our ownership, expanding from its South West heartland into a national brand, and increasing the number of sites from 14 to 41. Over this period the company created more than 1,200 jobs.

In 2015, Las Iguanas was sold to Casual Dining Group for £85 million.
