This initiative forms part of HandsOn London’s Bee The Change project – a programme focused on restoring urban biodiversity by creating and maintaining pollinator-friendly habitats across London.
In May, our volunteers joined HandsOn London to support the revitalisation of Dulwich Park’s American Gardens. Working to protect over 2.5 acres of 150-year-old rhododendrons – a vital resource for local pollinators – the team helped clear bramble and ivy to support biodiversity in the area.

In July, a Bowmark team headed to Holland Park to help clear an overgrown woodland space in preparation for planting wildflowers. Following an introduction from the park’s community manager, the team spent the day pruning, clearing and repurposing natural debris for ‘habitat-supportive hedgerows’ across the park.

Virginia Moreno Molina, Project Co-ordinator at HandsOn London said: “A big thank you to the Bowmark teams for their incredible contribution. The effort and commitment made helped make a real and lasting difference at both Dulwich and Holland Park.”
Stephen Delaney, partner and chair of Bowmark’s charity committee commented: “We are grateful to HandsOn London for the opportunity to support the stewardship of these valued public spaces. Initiatives such as these align with our focus on creating long-term positive outcomes – through investment, and also engagement with the communities around us.”
