Bowmark Capital further consolidates the school travel sector with acquisition of Kuoni Student Travel
Bowmark Capital Limited, the UK mid-market private equity investment firm, has completed its fourth acquisition in the school travel sector. The School Travel Group (STG), the platform business that Bowmark established in 2004, has acquired Kuoni Travel’s School and Student Tours business (“Kuoni Schools and UK Connections”). STG is the leading provider of educational travel services to teacher-organised trips for school children, college and university students, with annual revenues of approximately £60m and over 120,000 UK school children and students travelling to destinations all over the world annually.
STG was set up by John Bowden and Bowmark Capital in 2004 with the intention of consolidating the educational travel sector. Since then, STG has completed four acquisitions including; STS Travel in 2004, Equity Travel in 2005, Pavillion Tours in 2006 and Kuoni Schools and UK Connections in February 2007.
